Day 1:- Arrive at Bagdogara Airport / Transfer to Phuentsholing. (170 Kms / 5 Hours)

Arrival at Bagdogara Airport and start your journey into Bhutan towards the border town of Phuentsholing.

Boasting a rich amalgamation of culture, ethnicity, art and scenic beauty, the border town of Phuentsholing serves as the gateway to the ‘land of thunder dragons’ from the Indian states of West Bengal, Sikkim and Assam. Lying in the Himalayan foothills at an altitude of just 300 meters. Phuentsholing offers tourists a glimpse into the fascinating culture, heritage and traditions of Bhutan.

On arrival, transfer to the hotel and check. Rest of the evening is free for leisure.

Dinner and overnight in Phuentsholing.

Day 2:– Depart Phuentsholing / Arrive Thimphu. Evening Tashichho Dzong. (170 Kms / 6 Hours)

Today After breakfast, checkout from the hotel and transfer to Thimphu the capital city of Bhutan.

On arrival check in at the hotel.

In the evening, visit the Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion).

One of the popular and biggest landmarks in Thimphu, located at the banks of the Wangchhu River the Tashichho dzong stands tall two kilometers away from the main town. It is the main secretariat building which houses the offices of the King and the Throne Room.

Day 3:- Visit to Buddha Dordenma. Thimphu Sightseeing.

Today After breakfast visit Buddha Dordenma, which is one of the largest Buddha statue in the World at 169 feet. The body of the Buddha is filled with 1,25,000 smaller statues of Buddha. The view of the Thimphu valley is spectacular from this point.

Later get ready for City Tour of Thimphu.

Visit the Memorial Chorten, view the paintings and statues inside the monument provide a deep insight into Buddhist philosophy.

Discover the history of Bhutan imprinted in archaic texts, which are preserved at the National Library. Besides thousands of manuscripts and ancient texts, the library also has modern academic books and printing blocks for prayer flags.

The Folk Heritage Museum (Phelchey Toenkhyim): connect people to the Bhutanese rural past through exhibits, demonstrations, educational program and documentation of rural life. The principal exhibit in the museum is a restored three storey traditional rammed mud and timber house.

After your lunch visit the famous Changangkha Lhakhang, built in 13th century. Children born in Thimphu are taken to this temple because it is considered the spiritual home of the children born in Chang valley and their names are considered here by taking the blessings from the protector deity Tamdrin.

It is time to witness the National Animal of Bhutan, Takin, at the Takin Reserve.

Visit the Sangaygang View Point, one can see the entire city of Thimphu nestled in the valley below and also beautiful vistas of snow peaks and pine trees.

Day 4:- Depart Thimphu / Arrive Punakha via the Dochula Pass. Visit Punakha Dzong & Chimi Lhakhang. (77 Kms / 3 Hours)

After breakfast, checkout from your hotel in Thimpu and depart for Punakha via the scenic Dochu La Pass, which is surely one of the most beautiful passes in the world.

Decorated with small chortens on lush green hillside, this place tells an interesting story of spirituality, bravery, and Bhutanese culture. It is about 20 km from Thimphu, a concentration of 108 memorial stupas known as “Druk Wangyal Chortens.” It is such a popular tourist attraction that any traveler would want to witness on their journey through Bhutan.

On arrival at Punakha, Check in to hotel.

Later visit arguably the most beautiful Dzong in the country, Punakha Dzong. The dzong houses the sacred relics of the southern Drukpa Lineage of the Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. Later it will be time to take a beautiful hike on the paddy fields towards Chimi Lhakhang, the temple of the Devine Mad Man called Drukpa Kuenley. We can take a leisurely walk through the paddy field, no steep climb here.

In the evening back to hotel.

Dinner and Overnight in Punakha.

Day 5:- Depart Punakha / Arrive Paro. Enroute visit Lamperi Royal Botanical Garden. Paro City Tour with National Museum Visit. (140 Kms / 5 Hours)

After Breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed towards Paro.

On the way stop at, Bhutan’s first botanical park in Lamperi, which is spread across 47-square-km of vegetation that changes from oak, magnolia and birch trees draped in moss and ringing to the sounds of birds to mixed conifer, fir and temperate forests with hundreds of species of fauna.

Arrive at Paro Hotel and Checkin. Later today, continue with City Sightseeing of Paro.

We will visit the Ta Dzong, the National Museum and the Rinpung Dzong [Paro Dzong].

Located below the Museum is Paro Dzong. Also called the Rinpung Dzong, the Fortress of the Heap of Jewels.

Evening free for leisure.

Day 6:- Excursion to Chele-La-Pass.

After Breakfast at the hotel, we will proceed to Chele-La-Pass.

Chele-La-Pass (13,088 ft.) is the highest motorable road in Bhutan. Enjoy the scenic beauty & memorable landscapes from Chele-La-Pass.

Chele La Pass situated at an altitude of 3988mt is another highest motorable road after Dochula pass in Bhutan. Chelela is the mountain pass located in western region of Paro Valley.  It is located between the two of the most picturesque location of Bhutan, Haa Valley and Paro Valley.

Chele La Pass is famous in Bhutan for offering the panoramic vista of snow capped Himalayan Mountain Range like the magnificent Mount Chomolhari.

In the evening back to Paro.

Day 7:- Taktsang Monastery- “Tigers Nest”. Evening Drukyel Dzong & Kyichu Monastery.

After Breakfast at the hotel, hike to the famous: Taktsang Lhakhang, Bhutan’s most iconic landmark and religious site. The name Taktsang translates to “The Tiger’s Nest”. This temple is one of the most holy sites in the kingdom and clings impossibly to a sheer cliff face 900 meters above the Paro Valley.

Taktsang Lhakhang is located approximately 10 km north of Paro town at an altitude of 3.120 m. In order to arrive at the temple visitors must trek for around 2-3 hours through beautiful, shady pine forests. No trip to Bhutan would be complete without a visit to this remarkable heritage site.

On return from the Tigers Nest, visit the ancient ruin of Drukgyel Dzong, considered as the most beautiful and famous archaeological sites in Bhutan, is situated on a ridge in the upper Paro valley.

Later visit a majestic seventh-century temple Kyichu Lhakhang revered as one of the most magnificent sites of worship in Bhutan. Located in the town of Paro, some sources reference the temple as one of the oldest in the nation; others name it the oldest.

Day 8:- Depart Paro / Arrive Pheuntsholing. (200 Kms / 7 Hours)

Today After breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Phuentsholing.

On arrival Checkin. Later Indulge in some street window shopping around the local streets.

After a fun filled shoping day, back to hotel.

Day 9:- Depart Phuentsholing / Transfer to Bagdogara Airport. (170 Kms / 5 Hours)

After Breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Bagdogara Airport for your flight back home with wonderful memories and souvenirs from your Bhutan Holidays.
