Day 1:- Arrive Guwahati / Transfer to Shillong. (Approx 100 Kms / 3 Hrs). Photo Stop at Umium Lake. Evening free for shopping.

On arrival at Guwahati Airport, meet and greet with our representative and transfer to Shillong, called ‘Scotland of the East”.

Shillong is the only hill station in the country that is accessible from all sides. The name Shillong is derived from U-Shyllong, a powerful deity and is situated at an altitude of 1,491m above sea level.

Enroute visit Umium Lake, a majestic placid lake with its surrounding sylvan hills. Here you can enjoy optional water activities.

Arrive at Shillong hotel and check in.

Take rest and freshen up.

Evening is free for leisure & shopping. You can explore the bustling Police Bazaar – the largest local market in the area.

Day 2:- Excursion to Dawki & Mawlynnong Village (Approx 90Kms / 2Hrs Per Way).

After breakfast, get ready for a fun filled day outside Shillong. Proceed towards the Cleanest village in India: Mawlynnong Village.

Around 100km from Shillong, there is a magical paradise – Mawlynnong – a small village which won the status of being the cleanest village (2003), not just in India, but in Asia.

Close to Mawlynnong is a bridge across a busy mountain stream built by intertwining the roots of a livng rubber tree. An American traveller, Patrick Rogers, who has trekked through the interiors of the state to map these bridges after becoming fascinated by what he calls “some of the world’s most unique architecture”, documented the existence of 88 of these remarkable structures in 2016.

Later, visit Dawki that lies between India and Bangladesh and is the trade hub between the two countries.

Enjoy a boat ride (Direct Payment) in the Umgnot River and view of the surrounding greenery. The water of Umgnot River is so clear that the boats floating on it, look as if they are on a crystal glass surface.

Later drive back to Shillong.

Day 3:- Excursion to Cherrapunjee. Elephanta Falls and Shillong Peak. (Approx 65 Kms / 1.5 Hrs Per Way)

After early breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee (4,400 ft.), the wettest place in the world. You will see the beautiful waterfall known as Nohkalikai. You can also explore the caves known as Mawsmai.

Later visit the Garden of Caves, Eco Park, Dainthlen Falls, Nohsngithiang Falls, Mawsmai Cave & Thangkharang Park.

Evening return to Shillong. Enroute visit Elephanta falls, the British name of what the local Khasi people once referred to as Ka Kshaid Lai Pateng Khohsiew (or “Three Steps Waterfalls”) since the falls actually consisted of three sections in succession.

Later go to Shillong peak for some breathtaking views.

Dinner and overnight in Shillong.

Day 4:- Depart Shillong. Visit Tea Plantation. Arrive Kaziranga National Park. Visit Orchid Park. (Approx 280 Kms / 6 Hrs)

After early breakfast, checkout from the hotel and proceed to Kaziranga National Park.

Enroute, visit Tea Plantation / Tea Estate.

It allows to stroll through the lush Assam tea plantations and capture memorable photographs amid scenic surroundings. The estate features a restaurant overlooking the tea gardens, ideal for a leisurely meal with views.

Visit the Tea Plantation. Many of these tea gardens located in the proximity of the Kaziranga National Park warm welcomes visitors are open for the public viewing.

Enjoy Guided Tea Estate Walk and visit Tea Factory. Have Tea Plucking Experience and tasting session.

Continue Journey to Kaziranga National Park.

One of the most sought after wildlife holiday destinations in India, Kaziranga National park’s 430 square kilometre area sprinkled with elephant-grass meadows, swampy lagoons, and dense forests is home to more than 2200 Indian one-horned rhinoceros, approximately 2/3rd of their total world population.

The vast expanse of tall elephant grass, marshland, and dense tropical moist broadleaf forests undoubtedly makes the park look beautiful but it’s the presence of Brahmaputra river, which makes it look enigmatic.

Arrive at resort in Kaziranga and Check in.

Later in the evening visit the Orchid Park, the park is sprawling in the area of around 6 acres in the Durgapur village and is considered as the largest orchid park in the Northeast belt of India.

Back to Resort in evening.

Day 5:- Elephant Safari & Jeep Safari at Kaziranga National Park.

Early morning, get ready for Elephant Safari in the central range of Kaziranga National Park.

It offers an early-morning access to the park’s tall grassland zones on elephant-back.

The safari is especially known to witness one-horned rhinos, swamp deer, wild water buffaloes, and exotic birds.

Apart from world’s endangered One Horn Indian Rhinoceros, the Park sustains half the world’s population of genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 Wild elephants and perhaps the densest population of Royal Bengal Tiger anywhere.

We will return to the resort for breakfast. In the afternoon, proceed for a Jeep Safari.

Kaziranga National Park is also a bird watcher’s paradise and home to some 500 species of Birds. The Crested Serpent Eagle, Palla’s Fishing Eagle, Greyheaded Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed goose, whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, Storks, Herons and Pelicans are some of the species found here.

Evening back to the resort.

Day 6:- Depart Kaziranga National Park / Arrive Dirang. Enroute visit Tipi Orchidarium. (Approx 260 Kms / 6 to 7 Hrs). Dirang Local Sightseeing.

After early breakfast, checkout from the hotel and proceed Dirang,

Enroute visit Tipi Orchidarium which boast around 10,000 orchid plants from various genera and species. Arunachal Pradesh is known to have the largest range of orchids in the country.

Visit Nag Mandir during the journey.

On arrival in Dirang, Check in and freshen up.

Later afternoon, we will proceed for local sightseeing of Dirang including visit to Apple & Kiwi Garden (depending upon season), Dirang Monastery and Kalachakra Monastery. Dirang is also famous for hot water springs where people take bath to cure skin ailments.

Day 7:- Depart Dirang / Arrive Tawang. Enroute Sela Lake & Nuranang Falls (Approx 140 Kms / 6 Hrs)

After early breakfast, checkout from the hotel, proceed to Tawang.

On the way visit War Cemetery, Sela Pass, Sela Lake, Jaswantgarh War Memorial, and majesty of Nuranang Falls.

Arrive at hotel in Tawang and Check in.

Day 8:- Visit Bumla Pass, Madhuri Lake & Pangateng Tso Lake.

After breakfast at hotel, proceed to visit Bumla Pass in union vehicle.

Later in the afternoon back to Tawang.

Day 9:- Tawang Sightseeing.

After breakfast, we will proceed for local sightseeing of Tawang.

Visit the world famous seventeenth century Tawang Monastery, also known as Galden Namgyal Lhatse which overlooks the wide Tawang Valley at a height of 10,000 ft. The monastery is a vast complex of 65 buildings housing Lamas and antique scriptures written in gold letters and ancient scripture, images and has an eight meters high gilded Buddha statue. It is the largest monastery in the Himalayan region and the second oldest monastery in Asia.

Later visit Singsor Ani Gompa. Nestled at 9900 feet from the sea, Singsur Ani Gompa is a nunnery for Buddhist nuns. Residing up to 30 nuns, this is said to be one of the oldest Gompas which was revived in the 1960s by Rev. Gonpatse Rinpoche.

Then proceed to the War Memorial which is dedicated to the martyrs of the 1962 Sino-Indian war. The memorial is 40-foot-high and like a stupa in design. It is locally called ‘Namgyal Chortan’. The names of 2420 martyrs imprinted in gold on 32 black granite plagues.

You can also visit the craft center in Tawang sells beautiful masks, hand woven carpets, jewellery in silver, coral and amber, ‘chubas’ the local dressand delightful affordable mementos. Evening at leisure.

Day 10:- Depart Tawang / Arrive Bomdila. Visit Bomdila Monastery & Bomdila View Point.(Approx 190 Kms / 7- 8 Hrs)

After breakfast, checkout from hotel and transfer to Bomdila (8,200 ft.) – the head quarter of West Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh and also known for its Buddhist monasteries.

Arrive at hotel in Bomdila and Check in.

Later, proceed to visit Bomdila Monastery & Bomdila View Point.

Dinner and Overnight in Bombdila.

Day 11:- Depart Bomdila / Arrive Guwahati. Evening Sundown Cruise. (Approx 335 Kms / 6-7 Hrs)

Arrive Guwahati and proceed for evening sail into golden hour on Brahmaputra Sundown Cruise.

Day 12:- Guwahati Sightseeing. Darshan at Kamakhya Temple. Depart Guwahati / Transfer to Guwahati Airport.

After breakfast, checkout from hotel and we will proceed for sightseeing of Guwahati.

Start the day with Darshan at Kamakhya Temple. There can be long queue for darshan and please start early to avoid long queue.

Later, proceed to Assam State Museum, Dighali Pukhuri (Lake), State Zoo cum Botanical Garden, Planetarium and the Assam State Emporiums.

After sightseeing, transfer to Guwahati Airport for your flight back home with wonderful memories & souvenirs from your North East Holidays.
