Day 1:- Arrive Haridwar / Transfer to Barkot.

(Dinner)

Arrive Haridwar Railway Station, pickup and transfer to Barkot.

Experience the feeling of spiritualism and all that India is known for – from the Holy Ganges and proceed towards Mussoorie.

Visit Kempty falls in Mussoorie, a popular tourist spot.

Note: This day the vehicles will need to take “Green Permit” from Uttarakhand RTO and this may take lot of time depending on the rush at RTO. Guest will have to wait till this permit is acquired by vehicles. If time permits, then only we can visit Mussoorie or else we will go straight to Barkot.

In the afternoon continue to Barkot, city surrounded on the north by the Dehradun district, on the northeast by Tibet, on the east by Chamoli, on the southeast by the Rudraprayag district and on the south by Tehri Garhwal district. It receives water from two holy rivers, namely Ganga and Yamuna.

A large number of devotees stay here on their visit to Yamunotri Dham. From Barkot, one can easily view magnificent peak of Banderpoonch and it is an ideal holidaying and adventure destination for nature lovers and adventurers as the place proffers with many beautiful apple orchards, ravishing landscapes, scenic views and trekking excursions.

On arrival, transfer to hotel, and check in. Evening free for leisure.

Day 2:- YamunotriJee Darshan of pious ‘Yamunaji’.

Today after breakfast, proceed to Jankichatti via Hanuman Chatti.

It is the confluence of Hanuman Ganga and Yamuna River and start trek from Jankichatti to YamunotriJee on a back of a Pony (direct payment).

Yamunotri is one of the Char Dham and is also the first place to visit in the Char Dham Circuit.

On arrival in YamunotriJee “Darshan” of pious “Yamunaji”.

After “Puja” (Prayer) & darshan back to Barkot.

Day 3:- Depart Barkot / Arrive Uttarkashi. Vishwanath Temple.

Today after breakfast, checkout from the hotel and start your drive to Uttarkashi.

On arrival, transfer to the hotel and check in.

Later proceed for Darhsan at temple of Lord Vishwanath. This is the largest temple in the region, and the most frequented visited as well.

Day 4:- Darshan at Gangotri Temple. Enroute visit Harsill Village and Bhagirathi River.

After Breakfast, today get ready to head towards Gangotri.

One of the main religious places among the four Char Dham pilgrimage areas, Gangotri, situated in Uttarkashi, is closely related to Goddess Ganga, the river that we know as Ganges. The history of Gangotri dates back to centuries when Goddess Ganga transformed herself into a river to dissolve the sins of King Bhagirath’s forefathers, following his penance.

Enroute visit to picturesque Harsill village, Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas. The Bhagirathi River serves as an ideal companion for this sleepy town.

Later proceed towards Gangotri which is a popular pilgrim place in India, which stands at an altitude of 3042m and emits a highly pious aura. Religious rituals are in full swing in the Gangotri temple with the Arti ceremony performed by the pujaris of the Semwal family.

The river Ganga originates from the Gangotri glacier and is known as Bhagirathi. The name Ganga picks up later on after the river passes Devaprayag and merges into the river Alaknanda.

Day 5:- Depart Uttarkashi / Arrive Guptkashi.

Today after breakfast, checkout from the hotel and leave for Guptkashi

Guptkashi is a religiously important town of Uttarakhand as it houses ancient temples like Vishwanath temple and Ardhnarishwar temple. The centremost attraction of Guptkashi town, Manikarnika Kund is a place where two streams of the Ganga and Yamuna meet.

Day 6:- Trek / Helicopter Ride to Kedarnath. Darshan at Kedarnath Temple.

Today after breakfast, checkout from the hotel and proceed towards Gaurikund.

Gaurikund, the town from where trek to Kedarnath commences. It is situated 34kms ahead of Guptkashi.

Start your trek on foot or a pony. If you have booked helicopter ride, then you can fly from Guptkashi via helicopter (direct payment).

On arrival check in to a government camp / Guest house. (All meals by direct payment).

Kedarnath is amongst the holiest pilgrimages for the devout Hindu. It is set amidst the stunning mountainscape of the Garhwal Himalayas at the head of the Mandakini River. Kedar is another name of lord Shiva, the protector and the destroyer.

Later proceed for darshan at Kedarnath Temple.

Day 7:- Depart Kedarnath / Arrive Guptkashi.

(Dinner)

Today morning, checkout and procced to Kedarnath temple for darshan.

Later trek down back to Gaurikund or fly to Guptkashi in helicopter.

On arrival in Guptkashi, transfer to hotel and check in. Rest of the evening is free for leisure.

Day 8:- Depart Guptkashi / Arrive Badrinath. Enroute visit Narsingh Temple & Shankaracharya Math.

(Breakfast & Dinner)

Today after breakfast, checkout from hotel and proceed towards Badrinath.

Enroute visit Narsingh Temple and Shankracharaya Math in Joshimath (if time permits),

Later continue to Badrinath Ji. On arrival check into the hotel.

Later proceed for Darshan at Badrinath Temple. Badrinath is the most sacred Dham of India. This Dham was established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 9th century. The deity of Badrinath temple is Lord Vishnu. The temple is situated on the right bank of the holy Alaknanda River.

Day 9:- Visit Mata Murti in Mana Village, Saraswati River Mukh. Depart Badrinath /Arrive Rudraprayag.

Today early morning proceed to Tapt Kund, a natural thermal spring to take a holy dip as it is very important to take a bath before visiting a temple.

Later Proceed for Darshan at the Badrinath temple.

Back to hotel for breakfast and checkout from the hotel.

Proceed to Mana village, Mata Murti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River.

Later proceed to Rudraprayag.

Named after Lord Shiva (Rudra), Rudraprayag is situated at the holy confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers, at a distance of 34 km from Srinagar (Garhwal).

 

Day 10:- Depart Rudraprayag / Enroute Ram & Lakshman Jhula in Rishikesh.

Transfer to Haridwar Railway Station.

Today after breakfast, checkout from the hotel, proceed to Rishikesh.

On arrival to the most tranquil place in northern Uttarakhand, surrounded by hills and bisected by the wide and sluggish Ganges, is often claimed as the `Yoga Capital of the World’.

Visit Ramjhula & Lakshmanjhula.

Later drive towards Haridwar, for your journey back home with a collection of all those wonderful memories & souvenirs from your Uttarakhand Char Dham Yatra.
